  • oh yeah I think its fair game but like. right on the edge of it. like in dc they call green lantern rings the most powerful weapons and those would not fit as they are virtually do anything devices.

  • ah man that is so tough guideline wise. I mean its one thing. that is by and large used for fighting. kinda feels like we are getting into robots now which would open up a big can of worms.

  • yeah I have to say this is a reject for the criteria. not really a weapon.

  • yeah I disallowed things like this because then you have all kinds of technology like personal transporters or such to contend with. so wanted to limit it to weapons.

  • boy this kinda hugs the line. I wanted to keep to much utility things from getting in rather than weapons. I think though it stays in bound and is not quite as bad as the masters doll thing. So good one. This might give a run for the money on the phaser as its basically telekinesis.

  • pretty much just piefed et al. I think of it as the federation. I used to love the old newsgroups back in the day and eventually found slashdot when the millenium was new and later reddit but this is the closest I have been to newsgroups to me. the alt. rec. etc thing. they actually got ruined by spam. I think they would still be big if they had user filter config type of stuff.

  • yeah but we can just close those loopholes. like let them deduct taxes they pay elsewhere but they still have to pay the tax. that one rule if they do business or live in your country then they actually are kinda incentivized to operate in the highest tax region.

  • not needed. just taxes. that is all you need. regulation do which is a criminalize type thing.

  • streaming is already out the window for me and even before ai slop I felt media was really getting crappy. So for myself I will likely continue to consume older things.
